I’ve been getting pressure from my adoring public (Beau) to post a new blog. So here it is! Right… I don’t have much to say. I’m sad because there isn’t a new episode of True Blood tonight. And umm, I have a research paper to write. Not looking forward to tomorrow much at all.
In other news, Either/Or is now complete. That makes me sad. Like, a lot sad.
Uhh… shit. I can’t think of anything else to write about. I’ve been having a good few days. *Shrugs* I like talking to Alyssa a lot. (I also love her A BUNCH.)
Beau should come to my house more. Because he hasn’t been here for 15 days.
Oh right. And Europe not Infinitus? I’m thinking yes.
And SouthCast is funny. I freaking love them.
I’ve decided that I can’t write about July. Way too much happened. There was no time to write blogs along the way. And now… now the task is just too daunting. I’d have to write about the trip I took to San Francisco with Travis, Beau, and Juan on the 10th and 11th. Then I would need to write about going to Lodi to see Half Blood Prince at midnight. I got there at 11:30 A.M. and then stayed at Travis’ house after we went to Denny’s. After that I would write about Azkatraz. Which was AMAZING by the way. That blog would be the longest because it would also hold information about the whole time David was here. Then I would write about when Mari and the rest of the Hanchar’s were here. And then about the new school year.
So, as you can see, I have way too much to write about. I think I’m just… not going to. I’ll be making a video about the 10th and 11th, Half Blood Prince, and Azkatraz. Everything else, I just don’t think so. And that makes me feel lame. Oh well.
It’s been one year today since I received my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I will never forget the night I got it or that day as I read it. I can hardly believe that it has been a whole year. In many ways it feels like only a few days ago. At the same time it feels like it’s been years and years. My copy was purchased at 12:21 a.m. in Stockton California at a Borders. *Sigh* I think I’m going to re-read it tonight. Just like last year.
So, to know me, is to know that I love Harry Potter. Really, I can’t think of a way to sum this up. That’s why this is part I. It’s just stating the fact that I love it. As time goes on and the words come to me, I’ll be able to tell you why. I’ll be able to explain in words that this is not weird, it’s just me. :]
I’ve finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Oh. My. God. It’s over.
I saw HP last night at midnight. It was amazing. Dressing up was amazing. Being there was amazing. Waiting was amazing. *sigh* The whole thing. I don’t have any words for this. I’ll try to write a blog about what happened later, I just can’t do it yet.
About just the film:
Holy crap. I looooove this movie so much. The words are just… I can’t even get them out. I’ll go this by character because I can’t go through the whole film… well I could and I think that is the problem.
Harry: CAPS!Harry, really bothers me in the book. He just does. But in the film, it was down played. Which makes me happy. Dan did a wonderful job. *sigh* It was great.
Ron: Ron wasn’t the sidekick! He was Ron!!!! Enough said.
Hermione: I love Hermione in canon. Hermione in the movies…. not so much. They make her too perfect. But for some reason, I LOVE her in this film. I don’t even really know why.
Cho: I hate Cho in canon. I really do, I just don’t like her. The film made her out to be… well, we like her more. She is the reason why the DA is caught. But it wasn’t her fault really. So… that makes me sad. Because people who haven’t read the books might be like, “Harry is such a jerk. It wasn’t her fault!” Even if it’s not her fault in canon, he doesn’t really date her, and then they don’t even talk in HBP. But this is just like… “Why aren’t they talking?” I mean, we don’t find out they she was forced to give information up until the end. But it seems like in the next one they should be dating. Or at least that is how it was for me.
Ginny: *Squeee* OMG. I love her in canon. And we hardly ever see her in the films… but in this one she totally kicked ass! REDUCTO! I must say that she is looking more and more like the Ginny in my mind. And she was sending the jealous looks over at Cho when she was with Harry. Oh! There is a part when Hermione says something about Cho not being able to keep her eyes off of Harry, and Ginny looks pissed off. It great!
Neville: Matt is awesome.
Luna: Wow. Evanna is sooo cool. Luna is one of my favorite characters in this movie. Seriously she is in my top three. She is absolutely perfect!
Sirius: I dunno, I don’t really like Sirius in these films. And I really don’t like how he was killed. He gets hit with AK and then falls. WTF? Ugh… that made me mad. Another thing is the he called Harry “James” about 30 seconds before he dies. I did not find that good timing at all.
Dumbledore: We all still know who is playing him, right?
Voldemort: Rocked.
Umbridge: Very much like she was in canon. I don’t like talking about her because she makes me want to hit things. That’s a good thing, yes?
Bellatrix Lestrange: FUCKING ROCKED!!!!! OMG she was perfect, holy crap. Amazing. As you might be able to tell (*points at name*) That I love Bellatrix. She was just soo… GOOD. After Sirius dies, you can’t really hear anything. But you her her little tiny laugh and then she runs away. *sigh*
My least favorite book (OotP) is my favorite movie. And my favorite book (GoF) is my least favorite movie. The world is strange.
On Friday, I went to see PotterCast in San Fran. Yeah. Tiffani was like 45 minutes late picking up Hans. Making us late for the podcast. It was lame. But we did get to see the end. Okay, when I say “we” I mean Kelsi and myself. Anyway, the end rocked. I’m happy that we went. After that we went to see Harry and the Potters. Now that, that was amazing. OMG! So much fun. The only sucky part is that we had to leave after a half an hour because my parents wanted to get back home. :[
I did nothing on Saturday. Well I might have. But I can’t remember if I did or not. How sad is that?
Moving on. Kelsi and I went to see Harry and the Potters again on Sunday! It was amazing. Again. LOL we got to stay the whole time. I saw my old neighbor who I thought was living in Canada. That was kind of weird. But the point is. It freaking rocked. I love HP 4 and 7.
After the concert (which was in Sacramento) we (my parents took us) all went to Vick’s. I love Vick’s. Their ice cream rocks.
Now this is the very summed up version of what I did over the weekend. But really, I said all the important stuff. :]
Long blog next time.
