As for what I say, I say that we are defined as much by the horrible and awful things we have to go through as we are by the good times. We learn from those experiences and somewhere down the line you realise that the walls between each garden are wisdom you can call upon when you really need it, understanding you can show to your child, your friend, your husband or wife. It hurts; it hurts like hell, but joy is around the corner waiting for you, and because you can feel so much pain and shed so many tears, the joy will be all the stronger for someone like you. The pain, as hard as it is, is also indirectly one of your greatest blessings because it allows you to feel so much joy.

I love you to a degree that only a very small number of people in my life have ever approached, and I think I know you pretty well too. All of that tells me that happiness won’t be far away for you.
